Don's Crabs

First time there! The guy that took my order over the phone serviced me when I arrived. Had my order ready in 5 minutes and he even gave me extra.. it was just before close so but sure if they was the reason, but I truly appreciated that, and the crabs 🦀 were DELICIOUS AND NOT TOO SALTY/OVERLY SEASONED. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I'LL DEFINITELY GO BACK 🌟 🤩

So I spend $75 on 2lbs crab meat, ask for extra ice to keep my crab cold. Lady says no I can sell you a bag of ice. I'm like really?? She then says her ice machine is empty. I ask for 2 scoops from display. No she says. Just lost a customer will not be returning for anything from Don's crabs. What great customer service. Way to keep people coming back! Yesterday, I ordered from Don’s Crabs. I haven’t had Don’s in years. I ordered XL dozen of male crabs which came with 1/2 dozen free. These were the best crabs I've had this summer. I also order corn on the cob. The corn was so sweet and cooked just right. The crabs were big and meaty with great flavor. That garlic butter was the best garlic butter I've tasted this summer. Thanks, Don’s! I will be back!

We visited Don's Crabs for the first time this past Saturday. We bought a large container of cream of crab soup and some crab cakes. The soup was nothing but lump crab mixed with some creamy goodness. It was delicious! I have been sampling cream of crab soup from various places in and around Baltimore this summer and this was the best out of the 6 fish markets I've been to so far. Just loaded with crab meat! The crab cakes were equally delicious too. Served with some melted butter and a sprinkle of Old Bay. We will definitely be back. Don't go here if you are hungry. Know what you want before you go. You will just keep spending more money as you stand there looking at all that good stuff.

I’ll only give 2 stars because the food wasn’t as good as people say it is in the reviews, and the customer service was poor when I called back to complain about my order. Why is it these restaurants will tell you one thing on the phone to get you there but do another thing once you order. Then, and you’re left with the food you didn’t eat or did not enjoy and money you lost? Andrew, the manager, actually said bring the steamed shrimp back and we’ll peel it and devein it for you. Say what?!? First of all they told me on the phone 10 minutes before I went there that they peeled and deveined steamed shrimp - nobody said you have to ask for that once you order. It was my first time here (and my last) and I did not want to make assumptions so that’s why I called ahead to ask. Second, I ordered a 1/2 pound of steamed shrimp and they gave me one small, very small, container of cocktail sauce for 20-30 shrimp. Really? And the catfish was not tasty. It was kind of tough in some sections and it had a funny taste. Last, the cream of crab soup was FULL of crab shells (more than crab meat in my opinion). I’m still spitting out shells 30 minutes later trying to eat it! Fries and onion rings were the only items we enjoyed. The potato salad was very bland. The least the manager could’ve done was fixed a brand new steamed shrimp order and refund part of our money back for the cream of crab (shell) soup, at the VERY least. If he had been customer service-oriented, I would have at the very least, considered returning again. No worries. There are plenty other places around here to get good shrimp, catfish, and shell-less crab soup. I don’t patronize places where they don’t try to make it right. I work for my hard-earned money!
